Hypoechoic liver lesions undergoing hemorrhage and necrosis, that initially were interpreted as metastases but that be proved to be adenomas (first examination without hemorrhage)








The same patient a month later. The large lesion shows hemorrhage and necrosis the smaller lesions remain the same.








The small lesions show enhancement in the early phase and are isodense in the late phase. The large lesion with hemorrhage stays hypodense in the early and late phase.







The same patient a few months later. The lesions have diminished in size after discontinuation of the use of oral contraceptives.
